Watching the Barrett Jackson auction and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! keeps playing. The douchebag in the ad says that the Nissan Altima is the most exciting sedan on the roads.
BULL-FUCKING-SHIT.

It's the most exciting sedan on the roads in that particular commercial, because there are no other sedans on the roads of said commercial.

Which also makes it the most boring.

False Advertising only counts if they say something empirically, objectively wrong. Since "excitement" is subjective, they aren't technically wrong. Also, I think how much they have to gain financially plays a factor too (if they're making tons of money on something that is deceptive, but not technically wrong, it's worse than no money on something that is factually wrong) If they claimed it got a certain MPG or power that it didn't, that would be false advertising because you can measure how wrong they are.
But yeah, they're totally wrong. The Altima has fallen far since 2005. It's always been the worst car Nissan has ever had to offer for the last few decades. I'd rather own a Cross-Cabriolet than a new Altima, at least the former is weird .

He doesn't specify which roads. He just says the roads, which means all roads. Therefore, he's lying.

But, you can measure excitement.

Yeah Nissan needs to stop with this shit.

ARE YOU A FEDERAL OFFICER OF THE LARW?!?!

Can we get a comparison test done of a bunch of sedans to find the most exciting one?

That beautiful ad from last winter makes up for it, though.
The Murano can definitely drive on trains, and MIA definitely doesn't suck.

But, but those totally not actors thought it was a high tech race car!!! I even saw another commercial of an Altima drifting! Never mind it's FWD, it's has to be legit guise! Guise?

The Altima is vehicular Xanax. It's so boring I honestly think it's a safety hazard because it puts drivers to sleep. Also the other people looking at it on the road. And the employees building it in the factory.

my vote is for sedan thunderdome.... many enter ..... one car leaves.

I actually laughed out loud at that commercial

Clearly they've never heard of the Model S.

That's my stand on the majority of all advertising - it's legalised lying.

Model S is the most unreliable FTFY

I honestly don' t think Nissan knows what they're doing anymore.

That's part of what makes it the most exciting . A complete lack of reliability can sometimes make a car far more exhilarating.
Like the feeling of a dead battery, or 'sploded head gasket. That's why it's always "the thrill of the chase," not "the thrill of the catch."

I dunno... I've seen Altimas drift in Australia.

To be fair, I've gotten my Civic to "drift" around a bit on a private road with the handbrake. Though this is an utterly horrible idea, it is quite fun. Somehow I doubt you could do it with an Altima without breaking something, though.

I would like to see when they did a survey that said people actually voted it is more exciting.

That would actually be a worthwhile comparison.

Seriously. Because my commute regularly involves using some kind of advanced hardlight energy grappling hook to sling my Nissan from building to building, as well as grinding on rails and riding the roof of the metrolink to skip morning traffic. And my Nissan didn't do so well when I attmpted to get it onto the roof of the train.

The V6 Altima would actually be a not bad car if it had a something other than a CVT and a firmer suspension tune (seriously, they mentioned in the 2013 brochure how the rear suspension has passive rear steering).
